How we built this comparison
This article is written by Weblineo and we list ourselves first. We are not going to hide it. So that the rest of the list does not depend on our opinion, we order the other agencies by a criterion anyone could check: the number of reviews each one had on the official Shopify Partner Directory as of 7 November 2026.
Directory reviews are left by stores with their Shopify account, on a platform the agency does not control, so they are one of the public signals hardest to inflate. They are not perfect: a young agency, or one that works with a few large brands, will have fewer reviews even if it does great work. That is why, besides reviews, we give each agency's partner tier and the year it joined the directory.
We left out profiles that belong to an individual rather than a company, and profiles with no website. Each agency's description comes from its profile and its own website: we do not add clients, figures or awards we cannot verify.
What to look at before choosing a Shopify agency
A list saves you from starting from scratch, but the right agency depends on your project. A small brand that needs to launch fast is not looking for the same thing as a manufacturer that wants to connect Shopify to its ERP. Before asking for quotes, check these points for every candidate.
- Focus: whether it works only with Shopify or splits its time across platforms and services
- Verifiable reviews from real stores, not just testimonials on its own site
- Shopify partner tier and years active in the directory
- Live stores in your industry that you can open on your phone
- Custom theme or adapted template, and who owns the code at the end
- Scope, price and dates in writing before starting
- Training for your team and support after launch

What the directory data shows
The Spain listing had 111 partners on 7 November 2026. Only 51 had at least one review, and together they added up to 915. Weblineo's 151 reviews are just over 16% of the total; the next agency, Reduncle, had 80.
By tier, 48 partners were shown as Select, 40 as Plus, 6 as Premier and 1 as Platinum (one agency is listed as both Plus and Premier). Another 17 showed no tier. Shopify describes each tier by the kind of business that typically prefers it: Select for small and medium businesses, Plus for mid-market and larger businesses, Premier for large enterprises and Platinum for global enterprises.
Two useful takeaways. First, tier is not everything. Several Plus or Premier agencies had no reviews at all, while some Select partners had dozens. Second, many large consultancies are in the directory but treat Shopify as one line among many. If your project is Shopify only, ask what part of the team actually works on it.
How to choose, even if you don't choose us
Ask two or three agencies from the list for a proposal and ask them all the same questions. Vague answers usually point to a vague project. These are the questions we would ask if we were on the other side of the table.
- Which stores have you built in my industry, and can I talk to one of them?
- Who will run my project day to day, and who writes the code?
- Will the theme be custom or an adapted paid template?
- Will the code and the store be in my Shopify account from day one?
- What does the price include and what is charged separately?
- What training does my team get, and what support is there after launch?
- If I migrate, how will you keep URLs, redirects and rankings?
Red flags when hiring a Shopify agency
Some warning signs keep showing up in the projects that come to us for rescue. None is conclusive on its own, but if you see several together, stop and ask.
- A quote with no detailed scope, or open-ended hours to be consumed
- The store is built in the agency's account instead of yours
- Reviews that only exist on their own website
- Specific sales results promised before they know your business
- Nobody explains how to edit the store once the project ends
- Too many paid apps for things the theme could handle
How much a Shopify agency costs in Spain
There is no standard rate. The price depends mostly on whether the theme is custom or an adapted template, how many different page templates you need, the integrations (ERP, logistics, B2B) and whether there is a data migration. A simple store on a paid theme costs far less than a custom build with integrations.
What matters is comparing quotes with the same scope. Ask each agency to spell out what it delivers, by when and what is left out. We always work at a fixed price agreed in writing: if the scope does not change, neither does the price. Our guide on how much a Shopify store costs goes into more detail.
What is changing in the Shopify directory
On 9 November 2026 Shopify relaunches its partner directory and removes reviews, ratings and algorithmic ranking for every partner. From that day on the listing is alphabetical. That is why every figure here is given as of 7 November 2026.
Profiles will still show partner tier and years listed, which you can check in the directory. Reviews will no longer be there. We have kept all 151 of ours, unedited and with a screenshot of each, at weblineo.com/en/reviews. If another agency talks about its reviews, ask where you can check them.
