Shopify B2B for wholesale

We set up your wholesale channel on Shopify: companies with their locations, catalogs and customer-specific pricing, plus payment terms, in the same store as your B2C or a separate one.

This is for you if…

  • You get wholesale orders by email or WhatsApp
  • Each trade customer has their own prices
  • You want your distributors to order on their own

What's included in B2B on Shopify

Shopify's native building blocks for selling to businesses.

  • Companies and locations, with their buyers
  • Catalogs with customer-specific products and prices
  • Minimum quantities and volume pricing
  • Payment terms, such as net 30 or net 60

B2B on every plan

B2B on Shopify is available on the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans. On Basic, Grow and Advanced you get up to 3 active catalogs, assigned by B2B market. On Plus there's no limit and each company or location can have its own catalog and prices.

One store or two

A blended store shows each customer their prices when they log in. A dedicated B2B store separates catalog, design and team. We recommend the one that fits how you operate.

ERP, customers and pricing

We import your companies, buyers and price lists, and connect orders and stock to your ERP so nobody has to re-enter data by hand.

  3. Companies, catalogs and pricing

We import companies, locations and buyers, and configure catalogs, prices and payment terms.

  4. Integration and testing

We connect orders and stock to your ERP and test real orders with your customers.

  5. Launch and training

We invite your customers and train your team to manage the channel.

A guide to Shopify B2B for wholesale

How selling to businesses works on Shopify and what to decide before setting up your wholesale channel.

How B2B on Shopify works

B2B on Shopify organizes selling to businesses with native building blocks: companies with one or more locations, buyers who order on behalf of each one, catalogs that define which products each customer sees and at what price, and payment terms so the order is placed now and paid later.

Your trade customers log in, see their prices and place orders on their own, at any time, without going through email or WhatsApp.

  • Companies, locations and buyers
  • Catalogs with customer-specific pricing
  • Minimum and volume quantities
  • Payment terms and draft orders

B2B and B2C in the same store or in separate stores

In a blended store, consumers see retail prices and trade customers see their own when they log in. It's the simplest option to maintain when the catalog is the same.

A dedicated B2B store makes sense when the catalog, brand or team managing it is different, or when you want the wholesale channel hidden from the public store.

Pricing, catalogs and limits on each plan

Catalogs are the core piece: each one defines products and prices, either as a percentage of the retail price or as fixed prices per product, plus minimum quantities and volume pricing.

On the Basic, Grow and Advanced plans you can have up to 3 active catalogs, assigned by B2B market: all customers in a market share prices. Shopify Plus has no such limit and lets you assign a catalog to each company or location, which suits large distributor networks.

Integration with your ERP

In wholesale, prices, each customer's credit and stock usually live in the ERP. We connect Shopify to it so orders come in automatically, stock stays up to date and price lists don't have to be maintained in two places.

If your ERP has a Shopify connector, we configure it; if not, we build the integration with the Admin API.

Frequently asked questions

What clients ask us most about Shopify B2B.

Do I need Shopify Plus to sell B2B?

No. Basic, Grow and Advanced already include B2B with up to 3 active catalogs assigned by market. Plus pays off when you need more catalogs or dedicated pricing for each company or location.

Can I have different prices per customer?

On Shopify Plus, yes: each company or location gets its own catalog with its own prices. On Basic, Grow and Advanced, catalogs (up to 3) are assigned by market, so every customer in the same market sees the same prices; if you need customer-specific pricing without Plus, we build a custom solution.

Can customers pay me net 30 or net 60?

Yes. Shopify supports payment terms per company, so the order is placed now and paid later.

Do my B2B customers need an account?

Yes. Each buyer logs in to see their company's prices and terms. They're invited by email from Shopify.

Can I show the wholesale catalog only to registered customers?

Yes. You can hide prices or products from anyone who isn't logged in, or set up a separate B2B store.

Can I set minimum orders?

Yes. Catalogs support minimum and maximum quantities and increments per product.

Can I sell to businesses and consumers in the same store?

Yes. In a blended store, each trade customer sees their prices when they log in and consumers see the public prices.

How do I onboard my wholesale customers?

We import your companies, locations and buyers from your list or your ERP, and Shopify sends them an email invitation to access the store.

Can different taxes apply to businesses?

Yes. On Shopify each company has its own tax settings, including exemptions, which are applied to its orders.

Do I need an ERP to sell B2B on Shopify?

It's not required. Shopify manages companies, catalogs and orders on its own; the ERP is connected when you already use it for pricing, stock or invoicing.
