A Shopify store built for fashion brands

A fashion store lives on three things: the customer picks the right size, sees every color clearly and gets the collection on time. We build your Shopify store around that, with a custom theme, size guides your team fills in from the admin and launches prepared so the store holds up on drop day.

This is for you if…

  • You get a lot of returns because of sizing and want fewer
  • Every color in your catalog deserves its own photos and you can't make it happen
  • You launch collections or drops and the store isn't ready for them
  • Your current theme doesn't let you tell the story behind each collection

A Shopify agency that knows fashion

Shopify's official Spanish blog lists fashion among the niches Weblineo's clients come from. We work only with Shopify and code every store by hand, no templates, thinking about how people shop for clothes on their phones.

  • Custom Online Store 2.0 theme
  • Size and color variants, each with its own photo
  • Size guides by product or garment type
  • Editable lookbooks and collection pages

Sizes and colors without the mess

Shopify supports up to three options per product, which in fashion are usually size, color and, if needed, length or fit. Each variant has its own SKU, stock and images, and the product page switches photos when the customer picks a color. If you'd rather give each color its own product and URL, the Combined Listings app on Shopify Plus groups them into a single product page.

Size guides built with metafields

Instead of a chart pasted as an image on every product, we build size guides as metaobjects: one per garment type or pattern. Each product points to its guide through a metafield, and the theme shows it in a panel next to the size selector. Change a measurement once and it updates on every product page.

Drops, preorders and returns

We set up launches with scheduled collections and countdown pages, and preorders with an app built on Shopify's selling plans. Returns are handled from the admin, and with the current customer accounts your customers can request them from their account under the rules you set.

How we build your Shopify fashion store

  1. Form and video call

You tell us about your brand, your collections, how you launch and what causes trouble today: sizing, returns, photos.

  2. Fixed proposal

Scope, catalog structure and price in writing before we start.

  3. Catalog and theme on a test store

Variants, size guides, collections and design on a test store.

  4. V1 review

You check product pages, the size selector, lookbooks and checkout on your phone.

  5. Launch and training

We go live and show your team how to load collections and prepare drops.

Guide to selling fashion on Shopify

How to handle sizes, colors, launches and returns for a clothing brand on Shopify.

How to organize a fashion catalog

The first decision is what counts as a product. The usual setup is one product per garment with size and color as options, but some brands prefer one product per color so each gets its own URL and photos in Google. Both work; what doesn't work is mixing them with no clear rule.

Collections can be manual, for capsules and lookbooks, or automated by conditions, for garment type, season or sale. With the Search & Discovery app we add filters for size, color, price and any metafields you want, such as fabric or fit.

  • Size and color as variant options
  • Collections by type, season and capsule
  • Filters for size, color and fabric
  • Metafields for composition and care

Size guides that maintain themselves

The size guide is the tool that does the most to prevent size-related returns, and also the one that gets neglected the most: charts as images, different on every product page and out of date. With metaobjects the guide becomes just another piece of data in the admin, with its measurements as text, and the theme renders it the same way on every product page.

We can add fit notes per product, such as whether the garment runs large or small, in a dedicated metafield shown next to the selector.

Drops, launches and preorders

A drop concentrates a lot of traffic into a few minutes. We prepare the collection hidden, schedule it to publish at a set time and leave a waiting page ready with a countdown and email capture. Shopify handles the checkout and the infrastructure load.

To sell before you have stock, preorders run on an app that uses Shopify's selling plans, so the customer clearly sees they are buying on preorder and when it will ship.

Returns and size exchanges

Shopify handles returns from the order, and with the current customer accounts you can let customers request them from their account under your rules. If your policy includes size exchanges or automatic return labels, we look at a specialized app.

What your return policy says and how it fits consumer protection law is something to review with your legal advisor. We make sure it's clearly visible on the product page, in the cart and in the store footer.

Frequently asked questions

What clients ask us most about Shopify store for fashion.

Can I have more than three options per garment?

Shopify works with a maximum of three options per product. In fashion, size, color and a third one such as length are usually enough. If you need more, we handle the rest with separate products or personalization on the product page.

Can each color have its own URL?

Yes, by creating one product per color. To show them as a single product page with a color selector, Shopify Plus has the Combined Listings app; on other plans we handle it in the theme by linking the products to each other.

Can my team update the size guide?

Yes. The guides live in the admin as metaobjects and your team edits them without touching code. The theme shows the right one on each product page based on the garment type.

Can you build a shoppable lookbook?

Yes. We code it as an editable section with images from the collection and the products in each look, linked to their product pages.

Do you help with the photo shoot?

We don't do photography, but we tell you which formats, aspect ratios and number of images per color the theme needs so the catalog looks consistent.

Can I also sell in my physical store?

Yes. With Shopify POS you share catalog and inventory between your online and physical store.

Can I sell bundles or outfits?

Yes. The Shopify Bundles app, free on all plans, lets you create bundles from products in your catalog, and stock is deducted from each item.

Can you help me sell my collection outside Spain?

We set up Shopify Markets so each country gets its own language, currency and prices from the same store.
