How we chose the agencies
We went through the 111 partners in the Spain listing of the Shopify Partner Directory as of 7 November 2026 and kept those that mention store migration in their services or description. We left out profiles of individuals and those with no website.
This article is written by Weblineo, and migration is one of the main services on our profile, so we go first. The rest go from most to fewest reviews on the directory, a figure anyone could check on each profile. What we say about each agency comes from its profile and its website; we do not add clients or figures.
Other agencies may also migrate stores without saying so on their profile. If you already have one in mind, ask it directly.

What gets migrated and what does not
A Shopify migration is not just copying products. Normally you move the catalogue with its variants and images, customers, order history, pages and blog, and you create 301 redirects from every old URL to the new one. Without those redirects, Google takes longer to find the new store and the links you had stop working.
Some things do not move as they are. Customer passwords cannot be transferred, so customers will need to activate their account again; it is worth warning them with a well-prepared email. Subscriptions, gift cards and loyalty points need specific handling depending on the app you use. And design does not migrate: it is the moment to rebuild it with Shopify in mind.
- Products, variants, images and collections
- Customers and order history
- Pages, blog posts and legal texts
- 301 redirects for every URL with traffic or links
- Titles, descriptions and structured data for SEO
Questions to ask before hiring
Ask every agency the same questions, ours included. A good migration agency answers them in detail and in writing.
- How will you map the old URLs, and what happens to those with no equivalent?
- Do you migrate order history, and how many years back?
- How will we tell customers they need to activate their account?
- What will you do with subscriptions, gift cards or points?
- Will there be a test store to review everything before the switch?
- Which day does the domain switch, and how do we avoid losing orders that day?
- What do you check in the weeks after launch?
Red flags in a migration
Failed migrations tend to have similar causes. If any of these shows up in a proposal, ask for an explanation before going further.
- 301 redirects are not mentioned, or are left to an app without review
- They promise to migrate in a few days without having seen your catalogue
- There is no test environment or checklist before the switch
- Nobody asks about your integrations: ERP, logistics, invoicing
- The price does not spell out which data is migrated and which is not
How much a Shopify migration costs
It depends on catalogue size, how much data you want to keep, the source platform and whether the design is rebuilt at the same time. Migrating a small WooCommerce store onto an adapted theme has nothing to do with migrating a Magento site with thousands of SKUs, several stores and an ERP integration.
Ask for quotes with the same scope that state which data is migrated and whether the theme, redirects and training are included. We work at a fixed price agreed in writing. We have detailed guides for migrating from WooCommerce, PrestaShop or Magento, and one specifically on 301 redirects.
Reviews are leaving the directory
On 9 November 2026 Shopify removes reviews, ratings and algorithmic ranking for every partner, and the listing becomes alphabetical. That is why every figure here is as of 7 November 2026. Our 151 reviews are kept, unedited and with a screenshot of each, at weblineo.com/en/reviews.
Frequently asked questions
Which Shopify migration agency has the most reviews in Spain?
Weblineo, with 151 reviews and a 5.0 rating on the Shopify Partner Directory as of 7 November 2026. Next came Reduncle Agency (80) and Migraciones.io (72).
Will I lose SEO when migrating to Shopify?
Not necessarily. The key is mapping every old URL to the new one with 301 redirects, keeping titles and descriptions, and checking Search Console in the following weeks. Big drops usually come from bad or missing redirects.
Can customer passwords be migrated?
No. Customer accounts are migrated, but each customer has to activate their account on Shopify. The usual approach is to send them an email invitation after launch.
Which platforms can you migrate to Shopify from?
Almost any: WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce, Tiendanube or custom platforms. The export method changes, not the goal.
