Shopify training for ecommerce teams

A well-built store is of little use if your team can't find their way around it. That is why training is included in every project we do: video call sessions, split by role, on your own store and recorded so you can watch them again or show them to whoever joins later.

This is for you if…

  • You are about to launch or migrate your store and your team has never used Shopify
  • Every change to the store ends up as an email to the agency
  • New people have joined and nobody has time to walk them through the admin
  • You only use part of Shopify and suspect there are features you are missing

What Shopify training includes

Hands-on sessions on your store, not on a demo store. Each person learns what they will use day to day.

  • Training video calls split by role
  • Recordings of every session that you keep
  • A written operations guide for your store
  • A follow-up Q&A round after the first few weeks

Training by role, not a generic course

Whoever packs orders doesn't need to know how to edit the theme, and whoever runs marketing doesn't need to adjust stock. We split sessions by role so everyone leaves knowing how to do their part: catalog and stock, orders and customers, theme editor and content, and reports.

On your store and your code

Since we coded the theme, we show exactly how your sections are edited, which metafields each product page uses and what each automation does. That way your team can change a banner, create a collection or launch a campaign without fear of breaking anything.

If we didn't build your store

Training is included in our projects, but we can also train teams whose store was built by another provider. First we need to review the store to understand how it is built. Get in touch and we will take a look.

Shall we look at your store?Tell us what you need and we’ll send you a fixed-price proposal.

How we organize your team's training

  1. Who does what

You tell us who will use the store and what each person is responsible for.

  2. Accounts and permissions

We check that each person has their own staff account with the permissions they need and no more.

  3. Sessions by role

Hands-on, recorded video calls on your store, with time for questions.

  4. Operations guide

A document with your store's routine tasks, step by step.

  5. Q&A round

After a few weeks of using the store, we resolve whatever has come up with real orders and customers.

What your team needs to learn to run a Shopify store

The training modules we teach and why we split them by role.

Catalog and stock

This module is for whoever creates and maintains products. It covers products and variants, manual and automated collections, product page metafields, CSV import and export, and inventory adjustments.

If the store works with several inventory locations, we show how to view and adjust stock at each one and how to make transfers between them.

  • Products, variants and options
  • Manual and automated collections
  • Your theme's metafields and metaobjects
  • CSV import and stock adjustments

Orders and customers

For whoever ships orders and handles customers. We go through the full order cycle: payment, fulfillment, labels, shipping, returns and refunds, plus how to edit an order or create a draft order for a phone sale.

On the customer side we cover customer profiles, history, segments and how the new customer accounts work, where customers sign in with their email and a one-time code.

Theme editor and content

For marketing and content. We show how to work with your theme's Online Store 2.0 sections and blocks, create pages and blog posts, change menus and prepare a campaign on a copy of the theme before publishing it.

We also cover discounts, search engine titles and descriptions, and how to use Shopify Flow for the automations you have set up.

Reports and analytics

For decision makers. We walk through Shopify's analytics dashboard and the reports available on your plan: sales, products, channels and customers, and how to save them for a weekly review.

Which reports you have depends on your Shopify plan. If one is missing, we explain the options before you change plans.

Why Weblineo

Shopify only. 5.0 out of 5 from 151 reviews in the Shopify Partner Directory.

  • Zero templates

Every store is designed and coded for your catalog and the way you sell. Never a Theme Store theme with your logo on top.

  • Training included

It comes with every proposal. We want you to own your store and your business, not the other way around, as happens with so many agencies.

  • Fixed price

Scope, price and launch date in writing before we start. No surprises halfway through the project.

  • The code is yours

The theme and integrations live in your Shopify account from day one. Everything documented and editable from the theme editor.

Frequently asked questions

What clients ask us most about Shopify training.

Does Shopify training cost extra?

Not in our projects: it is included in every quote. If you need it for a store we didn't build, we assess it after reviewing the store and send you a fixed-price proposal.

Are the sessions in person?

We work remotely with teams across Spain and abroad. Sessions are on video calls, sharing screens over your store, and they are recorded.

What happens when someone new joins the team?

They have the recordings and the operations guide to get started. If they still have questions afterwards, we answer them.

Do I need to know how to code to follow the training?

No. It is designed for the people who run the store every day. Anything that requires code we leave ready as sections and blocks you can edit in the theme editor.

Can I ask for more sessions later on?

Yes. If your team changes or Shopify adds something you care about, we explain it on a video call. With a maintenance plan it is usually covered by what we agreed.

Is the operations guide generic?

No. It is written for your store, with your sections, your automations and the way your team works.

Do you also train on Shopify POS or B2B?

Yes, if your store uses them. Training covers what we have set up, including in-store sales or the wholesale channel.

What language are the sessions in?

In Spanish, and the Shopify admin can be used in Spanish, so what you see in the session is what you will see afterwards.
